Delivery & Returns

Delivering quality products and service, right to your door.

At Argenta, we ensure that our high level of service extends all the way to your door, with our excellent delivery service. The majority of goods will be delivered by means of a trusted national courier. Smaller items and spare parts will be delivered by Royal Mail Parcelforce.

Where do we deliver?

We can arrange delivery anywhere within the UK and Ireland.

When do we deliver?

We understand the importance of providing a swift delivery service and try to ensure that we hold in stock a constant supply of all of the products which are featured on our website. On the rare occasion that we do not have your required item in stock, you would be advised of this prior to confirming your order and making payment.

We aim to dispatch all orders the same day, depending upon the time at which you place your order. All items are dispatched within 24 hours of receiving an order confirmation and payment. Please note that orders placed on a weekend or bank holiday, will be dispatched on the next working day. The majority of larger items are delivered on a standard 2-3 working day service. Where available, an expedited service will be offered as an additional option at check-out. 

An Express Delivery option is available on selected items, via Royal Mail Parcelforce 24 or Royal Mail Special Delivery, at an additional cost - please note that should you wish for same day dispatch of an Express 24 or Special Delivery item, we require cleared payment by 11am. Express purchases made after this time will be dispatched to Royal Mail the same day, but will not be processed by them until the following day. Any Express purchases made on a weekend or bank holiday will be dispatched the next working day.

When completing your order, you will be asked to provide a contact telephone number. This number will be passed to the delivering courier, as they may need to contact you direct to complete the delivery. Please be assured that we do not utilise this information for sales & marketing calls.

How much?


The delivery charges are calculated based upon the weight and dimensions of the item ordered, in addition to the delivery address.

Please note that 'Free Delivery' promotions apply to mainland UK and Ireland only. They do not include Scottish Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Isle of White.

Delivery of heavy equipment


The delivery of large or heavy equipment will be made to the ground floor entrance to the building. It does not include the negotiation of lifts or stairs. Customers are responsible for ensuring that any items ordered will fit through doorways and into the premises. Argenta and the delivering courier do not accept responsibility for items which do not fit. The customer will be responsible for the shipping charges incurred in an aborted delivery. Delivery does not include the positioning, unpacking or installation of an item.  

Items damaged in transit

Always give yourself time to inspect your goods before signing with the courier. In the rare event that the item has been damaged in transit, you must sign "damaged" with your signature, on delivery slip. Please inform us within 24 hours of receiving the goods, if your item is damaged or does not work, so do make sure you unpack goods, even if you are not intending to use them for some time.

Returns & Refunds

How do I return an item?

As an online business, we aim to provide a returns service which is totally hassle-free for you. Argenta operates a 14 day returns policy. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us within 14 days of the invoice date. The item must be unused and in its original packaging, to qualify for a full refund or exchange, whichever you prefer.

Please ensure that you follow our returns procedure. In the first instance, please contact our customer returns department on 08456 046865 (UK) or 042 933 1962 (IE), to obtain a customer returns number & details of how to return the product. Please note it is very important that when you return an item, that we know the invoice/order number it relates to, your details and whether you want a refund or an exchange. Without these details we won’t be able to take the action you want us to.

The customer will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. You can return your goods using any postal carrier. We recommend you use a postal service that insures you for the value of the goods you are returning. It can take up to 10 days for us to receive your return, depending on which postal service you use. However once we receive them, we will inspect and process the goods within 48 hours to ensure you receive what you want as quickly as possible.

So that you are kept informed, we will send you an email confirming the action we have taken, as soon as we are confident the goods are in their original condition and the return has been allocated to your account. Any refund will automatically be issued to the card/Paypal account used to make the original purchase and in the event, we are unable to provide a suitable replacement we will automatically refund you and let you know via email. It will remain the responsibility of the customer to pay for the return of the item. Where applicable carriage or postal charges are not refunded in the event of a customer returning goods under our returns policy.

Can I cancel an order?

Cancellation of an order which has already been dispatched will be subject to a 15% restocking fee for the purposes of postage, packaging and administration.

In the event that you cancel and order and your item has not yet been dispatched by our warehouse, a full refund will be issued within 48 hours of notice to cancel the order. The customer must advise us of their wish to cancel the order in writing (email is fine). Leaving an answer phone message to cancel an order will not suffice.
